Teen Book Club: Perks of Being a Wallflower

This month SWAT book club is discussing Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen ChobskyThe story of a introspective young man who finds his place among an eclectic group of friends is told through a series of letters.

Charlie is an avid reader who devours such classics as The Great Gatsby and Catcher in the Rye, To Kill a Mockingbird.

Not only does literature play an important role in Charlie’s letters, but he’s also very into making mix tapes. Check out a playlist of some of the songs Charlie mentions in the books. Charlie and his friends also regularly perform in a live version of The Rocky Horror Picture Showcult classic musical.

Teen Book Club meets Thursday, October 25th, at 6 pm in the Library Gallery.
