You’ll find a lot of sections in the children’s room… one is a little tucked away, but has much to offer new and seasoned parents alike. Our Parenting section (located at the end of the juvenile fiction section and before the picture book section) covers a wide variety of topics, including pregnancy, baby food, potty training, education and learning disorders. Issues covered run from brand-new babies up through the teen years.
A number of books focus on fun, educational activities. Brain Games for Babies, Toddlers & Twos by Jackie Silberg has clear illustrations and bulleted text that clearly walk the reader through each interactive game. The Arts and Crafts Busy Book by Trish Kuffner contains 365 activities for toddlers and preschoolers. From simple printing projects to pasta sculptures, Kuffner has what you need to brighten up a summer afternoon. Titles about sharing books and stories with kids are also in this section.
The Parenting section is nearby while you’re looking for that perfect bedtime story or chapter book. If you haven’t taken a look before, I hope you get a chance to soon. There are more books on parenting issues in the adult nonfiction section, so if you’re not finding what you need, many other books are available for you to explore.
