The release of the Xbox360/PS3/Wii generation of consoles marked a time when the video game industry was really attempting to try to redefine the video gaming experience. The Wii was designed for motion sensor capability on release, with the PS3 releasing the “Move” and XBox 360 releasing the “Kinect” shortly afterwards.
By utilizing this motion sensor technology, developers were given new flexibility in how to bring a game to life. New genres began to form, including a group of games dedicated to exercising. These games challenge the player to get up and move, giving the player an experience that helps break the couch-potato stigma associated with games of past generations.
The following is a list of exercise games offered in the library’s catalog! As usual they are all ESRB Rated E for everyone, meaning they are suitable for all ages. More information about the ESRB rating system can be found here.
