  1. sarah barthell says:

I went by the library today and the outside still looks like a construction site. Will the landscaping be done in time for the grand opening………………………

    • Jeni says:

Some of the landscaping might still be a work in progress when the library opens, but inside we’ll be up and running! Weather plays a major part in the exterior construction, so there have been some unforeseen delays. Thanks for your patience and we hope to see you at our grand opening!

  2. […] There will be a brief loyalty rite for “A Ribbon of Light” during 7 p.m. Jul 29 during a new Lawrence Public Library building, 707 Vermont St. The Lawrence Public Library will strictly open in a new space during 10 a.m. Saturday as partial of countless designed events to applaud a re-opening. For a finish schedule, visit a library’s website. […]

  3. Leanna Riley says:

Is there any cost to participate in these events?

    • Jeni says:

No! Everything is free. We hope you’ll join us!

      • Bill Bob says:

no, that is not true. the food is not free. a luau was advertised. that is a feast. let them eat cake and ice cream (artificial color and flavor) . that is not a luau. you won’t eat food unless you have money. what a great thing for our millions.

  4. Julie says:

Are lawn chairs and picnic baskets allowed in for the movie?

    • Jeni says:

Not just allowed, encouraged! We’ll be setting up on the street, so bring your lawn chairs! Picnics are also a great option, but we’ll have local restaurants selling food if that option sounds good to you.
