We’re celebrating the importance of reading in the lives of young Kansans throughout the month of November with lots of fun at the library.
Sunday–Saturday, NOV 12–18, join us for storytime readings of The Napping House by Audrey Wood (the librarians will be wearing their snuggliest jammies—you should, too!) and enjoy the fresh air on our Downtown Storywalk©. We’re even hosting a stuffed animal sleepover right here at the library!
Kansas Reads to Preschoolers Week is an annual event that promotes reading to children under the age of five. Parents, teachers, and caregivers are encouraged to read The Napping House throughout November.

Wear your PJs and bring your stuffed animal or teddy bear for a stuffed animal storytime & sleepover! Enjoy a few stories and a craft with your stuffed friends, and then tuck them in and leave them in the care of the librarians for a magical library sleepover!
