Great Plains Natural History Book Discussion

Explore a variety of Great Plains natural history nonfiction books that read like fiction. This is a fun opportunity to learn about several acclaimed authors and books connected to our natural world in the Great Plains.

Reserve your spot at this special book discussion (limited number available) and choose a book from our list of recommended titles. We’ll put the book on hold for you. Pick up the book, read it, then join us at the Baker Wetlands Discovery Center for a lively discussion in which each person will have read a different book.

The discussion will be co-led by Jake Vail (co-author of A Kansas Bestiary and Information Services Assistant @ LPL) and Shirley Braunlich (Readers’ Services Assistant @ LPL and Kansas Native Plant Society Board Member).

Contact Shirley for the book list.
