Kansas to Key West: How Kids Had Fun During the Great Depression
The Great Depression was… well… depressing. So, what did kids do for fun? Explore different games and toys of the time and learn how to craft some of your own!
This program is part of Read Across Lawrence for Kids, a fun way for kids to “get on the same page” with other kids in the community by reading Turtle in Paradise, a laugh-out-loud story full of surprise and history, set in Key West during the Great Depression. Join us this September for this reading adventure and events offered throughout the month.
