Lawrence Community Handbell Choir 2017 Spring Concert
The Lawrence Community Handbell Choir (LCHBC) formed in the fall of 2016 with the purpose of focusing on advanced ringing techniques of handbells and handchimes in addition to educating and thrilling audiences with the various sounds produced by this group. They perform sacred, secular, and popular music on five octaves of Malmark handbells and four octaves of Malmark handchimes. Based in Lawrence, Kansas and rehearsing at Central United Methodist Church, the not-for- profit group has an active recital schedule and currently plays throughout eastern Kansas. They will be playing a free concert in the Lawrence Public Library on Sunday, May 7th at 4:00 P.M. This is a musical event for all ages and may be a “first time event” for some people to hear handbells played in this way.
