Nonprofit Resources Workshop
Expand your knowledge of information available to nonprofit organizations at Lawrence Public Library. We provide free access to fundraising and nonprofit management resources as a partner in the Foundation Center’s Funding Information Network. Learn how to use this collection, made possible by the ongoing support of the Douglas County Community Foundation.
Librarian Kelly Mahon is responsible for the Foundation Center’s Funding Information Network site at the Central Library of Kansas City Public Library. Kelly will teach you how to use three powerful databases:
- Foundation Directory Online – allows you to search for foundations and funding from over 100,000 grant makers for your organization or research project.
- Foundation Grants to Individuals – is geared toward individuals and small organizations seeking grant money, this database includes nearly 10,000 foundations and public charity programs.
- Philanthropy In/Sight – an interactive tool that uses aggregated data and demographic maps to reveal patterns of foundation giving and funding relationships, both locally and worldwide.
You will also learn about GrantSpace a website designed to meet the needs of grantseekers.
You are welcome to bring your lunch to this session.
