Cabinet of Wonders Installation
Ongoing throughout the month of September.
We are going to have our very own Cabinet of Wonders! Cabinet of Wonders, also called Cabinet of Curiosities, were once a popular way to house collections during the European Renaissance. They usually consisted of but were not exclusive to objects of natural history, geology, ethnography, archeology, religious or historical relics, works of art, and antiques. Throughout the month kids are encouraged to contribute their own “artifacts” (example: found rock, a drawing, etc.) to be put on display as a part of a community collection. We will start accepting “artifacts” in the Children’s Room August 29th.
