Changes to the Audiobooks, Music and More service
As of December 5th, Lawrence Public Library patrons no longer have access to OverDrive, the previous platform for digital content. The State Library of Kansas is working with two new providers - one for audiobooks and one for eBooks - to continue providing this service to Kansas residents.
The new platform for downloadable audiobooks now available from the State Library of Kansas is OneClickDigital. At this time, the content is limited. The State Library is currently transitioning titles to the platform, and more titles will become available after December 5th.

Questions you may have about the changes:
Why will we no longer have access to OverDrive?
The State Library of Kansas provides e-book and e-audio content to Kansas public libraries and their patrons. Because of pricing concerns, the State Library did not renew its contract with Overdrive and access to this product via our site will end in early December. For more information on the State Library's decision, click here.
What if I have audiobooks or eBooks checked out through OverDrive?
Current checked out titles will remain usable on your computer and devices until their due dates, even if after the December 5th cutoff date.
What if I have holds on OverDrive?
Current holds will not transfer to the new platform. You will have to place another hold on the titles.
Will I be able to renew an OverDrive title on the new platform?
Renewals will not transfer to the new platform.
When will eBooks be available?
The State Library of Kansas is working with 3M, the new eBook provider, on a release date. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available!
