The Lawrence Public Library is a member of the Foundation Center's Cooperating Collections Network. Established in 1956, the Foundation Center is the nation's leading authority on organized philanthropy, serving grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policymakers and the general public. Thousands of people visit the Center's web site each day and are served in its five regional learning centers and its national network of Cooperating Collections, one of which is available at Lawrence Public Library.

This database of over 80,000 grant makers allows you to search for foundations and granting agencies and to find grant money for your nonprofit organization
Geared toward individuals and small organizations seeking grant money, this database includes over 7700 foundations and public charity programs.
An interactive mapping tool that creates maps to reveal patterns of foundation giving and funding relationships, both locally and worldwide, this database plots locations of grant makers and recipients, and enables you to view aggregated grant data and to overlay that data with maps of demographic areas.

Can I check out print materials?
Unfortunately not. This is a non-lending collection. You may make photocopies of all print materials.
However, the Library does have numerous items on starting nonprofit corporations and writing grant proposals available for Check Out in the circulating collection. Please ask Library staff for assistance in locating titles useful for your need.
Who can use the Foundation Collection?
Print resources and online databases are accessible at no charge to anyone who visits the Library.
