Our “Before You Check Out” series continues with this fun and informative class on writing your life story, including tips on creating a unique-to-you obituary.

On Tuesday, FEB 6 from 10:30-11:30 AM, former Journal World reporter and humor writer Cathy Hamilton will guide you through the process of leaving a meaningful written legacy for your family.

We’ll meet in the Auditorium.

Every Saturday in November, join us for snacks, caffeine, and camaraderie as you make your journey through the 50,000-word marathon that is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).

NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel, so get ready for a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a novel by 11:59 PM on November 30.

We’ll meet up from 4-6 PM in Meeting Room C — Teens and Adults welcome!

Pen Pals Unite

Come and connect with a pen pal from the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, Feb 8 from 4-5 PM in the Readers’ Theater! We’ll learn about the area with KU’s Department of Latin American and Caribbean Studies, learn how to write unique letters with Wonder Fair, and more! Program is for Ages 7-11.
